Apparently we share some common locations having to do with romantic occasions. For mine and Heather's first anniversary we had to go to my cousin's wedding in Muskegon, MI. It was one of those deals where he came to our wedding so we felt like we should probably make the effort to go to his, even though it fell on our first anniversary. We were both a little bummed though that we couldn't do something a little more special, so without her knowing i booked us a night in Chicago on the way home. She'd never been and had always wanted to go there so (thanks to hotwire.com) I was able to get us a really nice room for the night and surprise her when we were about 1 hour outside of the city. She didn't even notice that we weren't going home the same way that we went to Michigan. I had known about it for about a month before the trip and I had to somehow convince her to take off an extra couple of days of work without her figuring it out. But somehow it all came together and we had a blast in Chicago. It was one of the shortest trips we've ever had, but honestly also one of the best. We really want to go back sometime in the near future.

I just finished my second read through The Shack. I liked it even more the 2nd time. You can't read it without being changed.
I wrote a lengthy review see
http://heartofwisdom.com/blog/?p=522

Publishers of "The Shack" have a ongoing podcasts at The God Journey. Definitely worth a listen.

Love you.

Eddie & Jess,
I'm sorry to here about your miscarriage. Don't let it get you down. I too had a miscarriage at 6 wks and 3 mos before I got pregnant with Christian and on bc pills at that! I know how it feels to get attached and then to be disappointed.
It could just be the egg wasn't healthy or viable and god didn't want you to have a unhealthy baby, (Which is basically how the Dr described it to me in so many words) None of us know why it happens. I am sorry. I offer you my sympathy for your loss and wish you luck, I'm sure you will be great parents and for that you will be blessed!

Love your cousin Jess

Eddie & Jessica,

I sit here weeping as I'm reading your blog and memories of my own similar experience come back to me. Our hearts and prayers go out to you, and although we don't understand every circumstance, we must continue to trust that our sovereign Father is weaving it all together for our ultimate good.

Please know that when an egg is fertilized, a soul is born. Your child is being safely rocked in the arms of Jesus, and you will meet him or her one precious day. The Greene's sing a song you may have heard already, but I wanted to share it with you anyway. I hope it ministers to your wounded hearts.

We love you!
Ken, Dana & kids
